Osteopathy

North Sydney’s Leading Osteopaths

Osteopathy helps you achieve peak physical performance by treating a wide variety of conditions including sports injuries, postural problems, back and neck pain.

How is Osteopathy different?

Osteopathy treats your whole body as a connected system. Rather than being treated in isolation, injuries or dysfunctions are considered as part of the larger musculoskeletal framework, including bones, muscles, joints and ligaments.
Qualified Osteopaths study for 5 years fulltime at university to gain thorough knowledge of basic medical sciences and extensive clinical training.

Osteopathic treatment

Physical assessment is comprehensive and identifies the source of the problem as well as contributing factors elsewhere in the body.
Treatment consists of hands-on palpation and massage to release tight muscles, stretch ligaments and mobilise joints. Your Osteopathic Therapist may give you exercises or stretches to practice at home for strengthening parts of your body.

Dry Needling

Dry needling heals muscle pain and dysfunction with small, solid filament needles inserted into trigger points throughout the body. These needles cause muscles to relax and can sometimes remove the trigger point entirely.
Manual Therapists around the world are now using this technique to effectively treat acute and chronic orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions.
